Acid Dye for Wool Roving and Yarn - November 2nd 10am - 3 pm
In this one day workshop, with Lyndsi Schuesler we will use acid dye to create unique colors on wool roving and yarn. We’ll learn which fibers can be used with this kind of dye and how to work with dye safety so you can experiment at home. We will walk through dying wool roving for felting or spinning (without felting it) and how to organize yarn for dying an even color. Bring a towel to bring your samples home wet, or return during the week to wind your yarn skein into a ball after it's dry.
