Mending Mondays
Mending Mondays
October 14th, 21st, 28th Monday evenings, 630-830.
As we move closer into the colder seasons, we are called to slow down, get our hands moving and our clothes mended. In this weekly evening drop-in session, bring an item to repair by hand, and join us as we sit and mend together. Maggie will be available for guidance and support, and mending supplies will be provided. Warm herbal tea will be on offer- bring a snack to share if you’d like.
*note: this is not a structured workshop, but a time to work on a project in community. Maggie is happy to help you get started and troubleshoot any hiccups along the way.
$15-25 sliding scale you can pay in person or via venmo, cloth collaborative studio@clothcollaborative
Maggie Ruth Haaland (she/they) is a queer mender, natural dyer, herbalist, and foot bath devotee. They came to all of these practices via the world of plants, and wanting to find more ways of incorporating their healing and magical properties into our everyday lives. As someone who has moved with chronic illness throughout her adult life, she has come to find the value and necessity of slowing down and tending within, to being with what’s right here and offering repair. Maggie believes in softness, rest, and vulnerability and cultivating these things in community.
